After a three and a half hour rain delay during the final round on Sunday pushed the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches into a Monday finish, there is a winner of the tournament.

American golfer Austin Eckroat has won his first PGA Tour event with a score of 17-under-par. It was a three-shot win over second place finishers Eric Van Rooyen of South Africa and Australia's Min Woo Lee.

25-year old Eckroat turned professional just three years ago.

The course at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens reopened Monday morning at 8 a.m. to spectators who were holding tickets from Sunday, but they had to be dropped off since none of the parking lots were open.
