FDLE & ICE Announce Results Of Operation Criminal Return

Calling Florida the model for the rest of the country with more than 335 287(g) agreements, ICE Deputy Director Madison Sheahan was at an ICE Enforcement & Removal Operations office in Miramar to announce the results of Operation Criminal Return, also dubbed Operation Dirtbag.

She says, "In just 10 days, we've been able to remove, in partnership with the state of Florida, over 230 of the worst of the worst, heinous criminals from their streets."

That includes 54 sexual predators, 164 sexual crimes offenders and two convicted murders.

All of them in this country illegally and many of them targeted children.

"Anybody who hurts a child in this country should not be allowed to run free," she adds.

To keep the community safe, she promises they'll continue to go after anyone in their targeting system.

FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass stresses Florida is a law-and-order state, "These are the pure evil that are running around in our country, and we have to expel that from our country."

Governor Ron DeSantis was supposed to attend this morning's press conference, but Glass announced his flight had mechanical difficulty at takeoff.

He's fine, but unable to fly, so he released a video statement.
