The 13th ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (19-7, 11-2) defeated the 24th ranked Florida Gators (18-8, 8-5) in overtime on Wednesday night in Tuscaloosa. The loss snaps a three-game winning streak for Florida.
Grant Nelson led the way for Alabama with 22 points. The leading scorer in the game, though, was Walter Clayton Jr who had 27 points. Late in overtime he missed a potential game-tying three-pointer that was rebounded by the Crimson Tide to clinch the win.
The Gators are next in action when they host Vanderbilt on Saturday - tipoff in that game is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
