The Most Consequential 100 Days Since WWII - Top Three Takeaways

The Most Consequential 100 Days Since WWII - Top Three Takeaways – April 29th, 2025 Driven By Braman Motorcars

Takeaway #1: A historic pace

President Trump’s historic pace to restore security, the economy, peace and sanity in our country and beyond has been on full display during his first 100 days. There’s not been a single day that’s gone to waste. 142 executive orders, 42 memorandums, 40 proclamations and five bills signed into law. That’s what President Trump has done over the past 100 days. So... what have you been doing? You’ll often hear people refer to the second Trump administration as Trump 2.0 but in reality, what we’ve witnessed since he once again took the office of the presidency is Trump 3.0. That’s because the rate of speed with which he’s been working is literally three times faster than he did during the first 100 days of his first term. To put this in perspective President Trump has almost taken as much executive action, thus far in his second administration, as President Biden did during his entire administration (and more than was taken by either George W. Bush or Barrack Obama during the second term of their presidencys). The fact of the matter is that you’d have to go back to Harry Truman, who inherited the presidency during the midst of World War II, to find a president who acted as fast and moved the needle as much as President Trump has done to start an administration. But of course, it’s not just about action it’s about...

Takeaway #2: Results

According to the latest from ICE, the level of activity through the administration's first 100 days looks like this... ICE arrests of illegal immigrants are up 621% over the Biden administration. In fact, under President Trump, ICE had detained nearly as many illegal immigrants within the first 50 days as they did in the entire prior year. That includes a 120% increase in ICE detentions of criminal illegal immigrants and a 222% increase in arrests of terrorist gang members. There’s no doubt that our streets and your community are much safer places than they were 100 days ago today. But of course, it’s not just that so many illegal immigrants are being arrested and detained for deportation by ICE – it's that they’re also not making it into the country in the first place. Even the low Biden administration arrest and deportation numbers were misleading because there were always more people entering the country than those ICE was making leave it. Not anymore. Literally only nine illegal immigrants have been allowed entrance into this country by Border Patrol since Trump took over and put the Remain in Mexico policy in place. And the so-called gottaways aren’t getting away anymore. Any border related/illegal immigration statistic you’ll see shows declines in attempted and illegal activity by 95% to 99% over what we had with Biden’s open border policies. All of this is also independent of illegal immigrants who’re self-deporting – which has also become a thing and is now something that Homeland Security is processing using the CBP One Home app that the Biden administration used to bring many illegal immigrants here. But that’s just the border. Let’s talk about the economy. Factoring in seasonality, a gallon of gas is 52 cents cheaper today than a year ago today, the overall inflation rate at 2.4% has dropped from 3% the day that Trump took office to the lowest level in over four years (to the levels last seen in March 2021 when Trump was just two months removed from office and ‘Bidenflation was just beginning) and DOGE has already saved you - the average federal taxpayer $993.79. Yes, there are concerns about the tariffs but consider this. Prior to President Trump’s second term how many countries/territories imposed tariffs against US goods? The survey said...197. Yes, 197 countries/territories including every European country, Canada, Mexico – Zimbabwe – you name it. In fact, literally if you name a country – you'll be right. How come. Here’s the next trivia question for you... How many countries are there in the world? The answer: 195. Yes, effectively every country in the world plus additional territories imposed tariffs against US goods. We’ve had anything but fair trade for decades and consider this. Currently the US is taking in over $300 million in revenue from tariffs per day, it’s reducing the deficit and its future taxes you won’t have to pay. And if in the end President Trump is successful in negotiating new trade deals, the upside is considerable and not just for the US but the entire world. A World Bank study has shown that if all tariffs around the world were dropped, trade would increase by 10-15%, which in turn would lift global GDP by up to $2 trillion annually – which would mean an additional $529 billion to the United States annually. That’s a much better place to be economically, but there’s no chance it would happen with status quo policies in place. In the meantime, President Trump has also secured trillions of dollars in new investments by businesses into the United States. Also, 60% of companies with DEI policies previously have shelved them recently including companies like Amazon, AT&T, Bank of America, Blackrock, Boeing, Citigroup, Ford, GM, Goldman Sachs, Google, McDonald’s, Target, Walmart & more. That has a huge impact culturally.

Takeaway #3: Perspective

President Trump is working faster than any President has worked in modern American history and it's impossible to fix something as big and as bloated as the federal government without breaking a few things. And yes, this is an instant gratification society, meaning patience with things like what President Trump is working on with trade makes people uneasy, but as we’ve already seen... If all that President Trump was able to achieve in his second term is what he’s already achieved in his first 100 days – his presidency would be a success led by his incredible success in restoring safety to our communities and sanity to our borders. Again, he’s already done more in a hundred days than the two most recent two-term presidents did in their final four years. But he’s just getting started. President Trump is determined to Make America Great Again – which is why he’s working as hard as he is. And do you have any doubt that this country will be better off when he’s done than with where we are now? Even the things that might make you nervous right now are short term things that will eventually be forgotten. Perspective is key.
