- Six of the 205 arrests made during the FBI’s nationwide “Operation Restore Justice” sting operation were made in South Florida. The operation, aimed combating child sex trafficking, resulted in the rescue of 115 child sex trafficking victims. Details were not immediately provided about the suspects arrested in South Florida.
- Stephon McCary, a 44-year old Boca Raton Middle School employee, was arrested by Delray Beach Police for attempting to meet a minor for sexual purposes at a local store. The arrest was the result of an undercover operation by 561 Predator Catchers, which used a decoy pretending to be a 14-year-old boy.
- In Tuesday’s City Commission Meeting Lake Worth Beach Commissioners advanced, via a First Reading, a new ordinance aimed at combating traffic congestion downtown by limiting use of valet services by local businesses. Under the proposed rule change, valet services would limit use of public parking spaces for valet service and require businesses to obtain valet parking permits. A Second Reading is being scheduled for public input and a final vote.

- Gas prices fell another 3 cents per gallon on Wednesday, are 55 cents lower than a year ago today, and are now at the lowest prices in a year and a half. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $2.99 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.12 per gallon, in Martin the average is $2.98 and in Indian River County the average is $3.02 per gallon.
