- Florida’s House Select Committee on Property Taxes sent a letter to Governor DeSantis on Tuesday asking for his participation in an upcoming hearing that will consider whether to advance a proposal studying the effects of eliminating property taxes within the state – a plan that’s supported by the governor. Among Tuesday’s committee findings, property taxes are the largest revenue stream in 51 of Florida’s 67 counties with 181 of Florida’s 411 municipalities also mostly reliant on property taxes for revenue.
- The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado, with winds of 70-75 mph made its way through Loxahatchee near Lion Country Safari to the Acreage on Monday as serve weather rolled through. Toppled trees and minor damage were reported in the area.
- A prescribed burn will take place at Jonathan Dickinson State Park today and tomorrow (weather permitting). The two burns are aimed at 440 acres of pine flatwoods along Park Drive and an area near Eaglesview.

In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.25 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.19 and in Indian River County the average is $3.15 per gallon.
