- Governor DeSantis signed the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services bill into law on Thursday. The new law, which took effect immediately, bans local governments from adding fluoride to drinking water in addition to enacting over 20 changes to utility regulations, water management, pest control services, the state’s wine industry, additional ESG bans, what constitutes mail theft and the concealed carry permit review process for those with a criminal history.
- State officials announced the dates for the 2025 Python Challenge in the Everglades. The ten-day competition aimed at reducing the population of invasive Burmese Pythons in the Everglades will take place from July 11th to July 20th with a top prize of $10,000. Registration is now open.
- New “wrong way” signs will soon be added to several area ramps to I-95. The Florida Department of Transportation will begin the installation of the signs on seven exit ramps in Palm Beach County. Installation to take place from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays until finished. The signs will light up when detecting wrong way drivers and will also automatically notify authorities. The impacted ramps are: Blue Heron Blvd., Palm Beach International Airport, Forest Hill Blvd., 10th Avenue North, Atlantic Avenue, Linton Blvd. And Palmetto Park Road.

- Gas prices dropped two cents per gallon on Thursday. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $3.10 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.27 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.15 and in Indian River County the average is $3.11 per gallon.
