- Governor DeSantis has signed eight bills into law. The Debt Collection bill – which enables debt collectors to use emails as opposed to phone calls for attempts to obtain payment, three amendments to Florida’s Sunset Review Act, the Wine Containers bill – which enables producers to use large recyclable kegs and similar containers, Securities bill – which updates eligible investments the state may make, Trespass at Large Scale Ticketed Events bill – which increases penalties for trespassing on property maintained or secured by federal, state or local law enforcement and unmanned Aircraft bill – which revises where drones are allowed to fly and increases penalties for offenders are now law.
- Margaritaville at Sea, which operates cruises out of the Port of Palm Beach, is adding a third ship to its fleet. The Coasta Fortuna, purchased from the cruise operator, will become the largest of the Margaritaville ships with the ability to accommodate up to 3,450 passengers. It will be in use under its new operator starting in 2026.
- The Florida Panthers easily took game seven from the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-1 to advance to the Eastern Conference finals as the defending champs look to defend their Stanley Cup title. Game 1 against the Carolina Hurricanes is Tuesday night at 7.

- Gas prices were lower over the weekend though higher than a week ago at this time. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $3.04 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.21 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.05 and in Indian River County the average is $3.05 per gallon.
