Elon’s Not Down w/The BBB & We Want Less Government Spending

Elon’s Not Down w/The BBB & We Want Less Government Spending – Top 3 Takeaways – May 29th, 2025

Takeaway #1: Elon’s not down with the OBBB

Diet Soda, Disney culturally, the Democrat Party, the Miami Dolphins, and the education establishment. What do all of these things have in common? They’re generally much worse than many people think. Surely there are examples that come to mind for you of things that turned out to be much worse in reality than you’d perceived. In the grand scheme of things that I already perceive to be really bad, the bureaucracy in Washington D.C. is extremely high on that list. For that reason, and after years of having investigated and covered things like the Trump-Russia collusion hoax, Deep State corruption, and learning that taxpayer money was used to fund the Wuhan Lab that created and leaked COVID-19...I’m not sure there’s really anything that would be profoundly surprisingly to me when it comes to the bureaucracy. For example, even as DOGE uncovered things that the Biden administration was paying for with our tax money like the transgendered Peruvian comic book hero and the Irish DEI Opera, I wasn’t the least bit surprised. To me, it was like, well of course that’s what they did – President Biden literally declared Easter last year as a Transgender Day of Visibility (which honestly about the last thing I ever want to see is a transgendered anything but especially on Easter) and allowed illegal immigrant criminals into our country by the millions each year – with tax payer provided goodies to boot. So yeah, there’s really not anything those depraved, evil and corrupt people would do and abuse that would surprise me. So maybe the world’s most successful and richest man was a bit naive or maybe somehow the bureaucracy is even worse than I perceive? Elon made news over the past day for two different interviews – one of which won’t air until Sunday. In an interview with the Washington Post Elon said that during his work with DOGE he learned that the federal bureaucracy is “much worse than I realized”. Either Elon was naive or maybe we should be even more concerned? I mean I’m not sure it gets worse than funding the creation of COVID-19 or allowing international terrorists to enter our country with government provided benefits but maybe? Maybe Elon uncovered a transgendered Easter Bunny? But the even bigger news was what Elon said to CBS that’s to be aired on CBS Sunday Morning. The man who not long ago was wearing a hat that said “Trump was right about everything” said he’s not down with the OBBB. Specifically, he said this: I was, like, disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decrease it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing. I think a bill can be big or it could be beautiful, but I don’t know if it could be both. So yeah – Elon is only down with a BB. Which btw, he’s not alone. On Wednesday, Sinclair Media asked this poll question: Do you think Congress should cut federal government spending? What percentage do you think said yes? 88% said yes. Now this is important for a couple of reasons. Conceptionally, almost the entire country wants the same thing.

Takeaway #2: Less government spending

Now, in reality, the moment a certain percentage of the country that’s a net recipient of government provided benefits (33% of the country is) would be told for the example that the free government handouts, that are anything but free, wouldn’t be handed out anymore – that number would jump because we all know darn well there are many who chose to live off of government candy as opposed to using programs as safety nets. But the broader theme remains. Most Americans want less government spending and now it might be the Senate that considers delivering it. The Senate, which originally appeared to be the most reluctant to rein in spending under the OBBB, now has some members like Ron Johnson – talking more fiscally responsibly. But here’s the thing and it’s a considerable one that probably stuck out like a sore thumb to Elon. Should the OBBB pass as currently constructed, we’ll have over 7.5 trillion in federal spending next year. How much of that is entitlement/government handout spending? Over $4.5 trillion. That’s 60% of total federal spending if you’re keeping score, and what’s more? By the time you factor in the amount that has to be spent to service (pay the interest on our federal debt) which now is more than our annual defense spending – there's not a whole heck of a lot of room left for anything including defense spending...and that’s with the Peruvian comic book tranny’s having already been DOGE’d out. Here’s the biggest issue of all. There are currently 340 million Americans. How many are projected to be on some form of government cheese next year? The answer is 145 million. The biggest problem we have with spending in this country is that...

Takeaway #3: We’ve effectively become a Welfare State

The only way we’ll be able to restore fiscal sanity in this country is if we significantly limit the not-so-freebies to over 145 million Americans. It’s one thing to not be a net federal income taxpayer. It’s another thing to profit from the federal income tax system. That should never have become a thing, and it is the thing that would need to be reformed to make the OBBB potentially big and beautiful. Do I have any confidence in Congress to do the right but politically hard thing? Not at all. And maybe that’s what Elon meant by the bureaucracy being worse than he realized. DOGEing is important, but it’s not possible to DOGE our way out of the budget mess. Self-reliance and an end to endless government assistance programs for the masses is the only way. Most Americans say they want it. We should give it to them and save the fiscal future of our country in the process.
