- Governor DeSantis signed the Special Beverage License for Equestrian Sports Facilities bill into law on Monday. The law, which is specific to Marion County, authorizes the sale of wine and malt beverages for sports facilities within the county.
- A milestone has been reached in the state’s effort to combat invasive Burmese pythons. The Conservancy of Southwest Florida announced that over 20 tons of pythons have been removed from the Everglades since organized removal efforts began in 2013 – with 6,300 pounds within the past year. Additionally, over 20,000 python eggs have been prevented from hatching. Use of technology, like radio telemetry and tagging males has led to greater success recently.
- The Florida Panthers had a dominating game 3 performance led by a goal within the first minute of play in route to a 6-1 win over Edmonton to take a 2-1 series lead. The Panthers remain home for Game 4 Thursday night.

- Gas prices fell three cents per gallon on Monday. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $3.04 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.21 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.03 and in Indian River County the average is $3.04 per gallon.
