- Governor DeSantis signed five bills into law on Tuesday: Law Enforcement, Correctional, and Correctional Probation Officer Benefits – which provides for insurance coverage for families of officers injured in the line of duty or training; Offenses Involving Children – states that ignorance of a minor’s age is not a legal defense if is an issue for the consideration of an offense; Removal of Altered Sexual Depictions Posted without Consent – mandates platforms remove altered sexual depictions of people who haven’t provided consent; Registration of Sexual Predators and Sexual Offenders – redefines residence requirements for sexual offenders to include both permanent and part-time residences within the state; Sexual Offenses by Persons Previously Convicted of Sexual Offenses – provides mandatory minimum sentences for repeat offenders.
- The governor announced the purchase of an additional 78,000 acres of land in the Ocala-to-Osceola Wildlife Corridor as part of the Florida Forever Program. The governor noted that over 374,000 acres had been added to the conservation program at a cost of $1.4 billion over the past six years.

Another Saharan Dust plume is making its way through the Caribbean and will likely start to impact locally tonight into tomorrow. It’s less dense than the plume that recently came through our area.

- Gas prices fell another four cents per gallon on Tuesday. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $3.00 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.18 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.00 and in Indian River County the average is $3.02 per gallon.
