  • South Florida-based airline Silver Airways is ending all operations immediately. The decision was announced Wednesday amid failed efforts to restructure under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Any travelers with unused airline tickets, starting Wednesday, will be refunded through your credit card company or travel agency according to the company officials. Silver Airways entered bankruptcy in December.  
  • Crest Manor Assisted Living Facility in Lake Worth Beach will remain closed indefinitely following a cease-and-desist order that’s been issued by the state of Florida. The order came following a Friday night evacuation of the facility that was found to have had temperatures reach 90 degrees over the weekend. Under state law, safe temperatures must be maintained at all times at senior and assisted care facilities across the state. The 42 residents have been relocated to nearby facilities.  
  • We’ll have sunny skies much of the day with a chance of showers and highs in the upper 80’s, which is a little warmer than usual for this date. Another Saharan Dust plume will begin impacting Florida today. It’s less dense than last week’s plume. 
  • The National Hurricane Center’s Tropical Outlook is clear for the next 7 days. 
  • Gas prices fell another two cents per gallon on Wednesday. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $2.98 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.16 per gallon, in Martin the average is $2.98 and in Indian River County the average is $2.99 per gallon.
