- Governor DeSantis has dispatched four planes for the purpose of evacuate 1,500 stranded Americans in Israel under the current war with Iran. Those evacuated are being flown into Tampa.
- Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has proposed using a 39-square mile site at the Miami Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport to house and deport illegal immigrants. Dubbed, Alligator Alcatraz, as it borders the Everglades, the site, if developed for that purpose, holds the potential to be the largest detention and deportation facility in the country.
- The Florida Panthers championship parade at Fort Lauderdale Beach on Sunday. Similar to last year’s championship parade, it will take place at noon along A1A from Riomar Street to Southeast Fifth Street.
