- Florida AG James Uthmeier is accusing Orange County of violating state immigration. In a letter to officials on Tuesday, Uthmeier stated that the county isn’t adhering to state law which requires local governments to allow ICE to transport those lacking legal status to detention centers. The letter came after the county recently rejected an addendum request by ICE under the 287(g) program. Uthmeier is demanding corrective action be taken by county officials or face potential legal action and/or removal from office.
- The Martin County School Board has agreed to a new contract for School Resource Officers for nearly $15 million over three years, ending a multi-month negotiation and amid concerns about readiness for the upcoming school year. Under Florida law at least one school resource officer must be present at every school with one resource officer per 1,000 students for larger schools.
- The St. Lucie School District has proposed combining three schools into a new K-8 facility. The plan would combine Lawnwood Elementary School, St. Lucie Elementary School and Dan McCarty Middle School in one location. The proposed location would be at the current Dan McCarty site. If approved the project would cost approximately $70 million with an eta of 2028.

- Gas prices dropped another three cents per gallon on Tuesday. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $3.03 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.18 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.02 and in Indian River County the average is $3.05 per gallon.
