The City of Palm Beach Gardens has two races next Tuesday, including the one for Group 2 on the City Council.

The incumbent is Marcie Tinsley, who previously served on the Council from 2010 to 2017.

She's spent the last 17 years as Vice President of a land management company. Tinsley manages commercial, residential and agricultural properties.

Among her priorities, responsible planning and stopping overdevelopment.

"We can do a lot of things to safeguard against overdevelopment, to have a thoughtful approach to redevelopment. How we do that is by having a smart, comprehensive approach to not just growth but to traffic, and that is something that's on everybody's mind."

Tinsley says she has an open-door policy and promotes an open, transparent, accessible government.

She's being challenged by business owner John "Scott' Gillow who could not fit us in his busy schedule.
