Today marks the 16th anniversary of a double-murder that stunned Palm Beach County.

47-year old Nancy Bochicchio and her 7-year old daughter Joey were found bound and shot to death inside their SUV in the parking lot of the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton.

It was in the 11 p.m. hour on December 12, 2007.

The tips keep coming in but no arrests have been made according to the Boca Raton Police Department.

Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw says some lessons were learned from this case.

"If something good came out of that, what happens now is if you go to most of these malls you see security people riding around. They're up and down the aisles and everything and that's to prevent somebody from just loitering around and just waiting for somebody's car."

He says the parking lots are always well lit as well but suggests shoppers take their own steps to protect themselves.

Have your keys in hand and ready while walk to your car and check through the windows to make sure no one is waiting inside.

Boca PD believes that advancements in DNA technology will ultimately lead them to a suspect.
