The PGA tournament formerly known as the Honda Classic officially has a new name..."The Cognizant Classic."
The PGA Tour has taken over management of the event from a private company and has inked a title sponsorship deal with artificial intelligence company Cognizant through 2030.
The tournament will be played at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens February 29th through March 3rd.
The primary beneficiary continues to be The Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation.
In a news release, PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said, “On behalf of the PGA Tour, our thanks to Cognizant for their commitment to the PGA TOUR’s South Florida event through 2030. Through this partnership, the Cognizant Classic will continue to be one of the premier sports and entertainment events in the Palm Beaches while maintaining its role as a charitable leader within the community.”
