Palm Beach Gardens Incoming Police Chief Dominick Pape

The Palm Beach Gardens Police Department has announced a new police chief will start next month.

Assistant Chief Dominick Pape will enter his new role on March 11th.

Current Chief Clint Shannon announced his retirement in a letter to the city dated January 16th.

He says he will spend more time with his growing family. Shannon said in the letter that he is excited about the next chapter of his life.

His last day will be Sunday, March 10th.

Pape began his law enforcement career in 1982 with the Gainesville Police Department and later worked for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He was appointed to the position of Major in Palm Beach Gardens back in 2015 and became assistant chief in 2018.
