One Florida school district is hosting a job fair this weekend.
Recruitment managers in Martin County say close to 30 openings for teachers will be up for grabs with hiring managers attending the event at Anderson Middle School in Stuart.
Other jobs available include paraprofessionals or teaching assistants, as well as cafeteria work and bus drivers.
The job fair comes as the school board is close to an agreement with the teachers union on pay raises based on experience.
Teachers would receive an $85 pay hike for each year of verified experience, up to $3,000.
In addition, there would be performance pay incentives for teachers rated effective and highly effective and members of the teachers union in Martin County would also get a one-time bonus of $790 from American Rescue Plan funds.
Saturday's job fair runs from 9 a.m. to noon.
