The search for a missing free diver off the Treasure Coast has been suspended.
39-year old Virgil Price was last seen Sunday morning by three people he was with, while he was free diving near the World War 2 shipwreck of the Halsey near St. Lucie County.
The search continued until about 10:30 p.m. Monday when the Coast Guard suspended it, citing new information and the over 1,400 miles the search had covered.
A man's body was pulled from the water near the Fort Pierce Inlet on Monday afternoon, but the sheriff's office says the clothing and the physical characteristics didn't match Price.
Officials don't believe the body of a man over the age of 50 had been in the water long and he doesn't match any subjects of missing persons reports.
