The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says it will be removing a boat from the shore in Delray Beach.

The abandoned 40-foot sailboat has been there since December and residents have complained about it being an eyesore and dangerous. Beachgoers say that it's riddled with graffiti and children play on it.

A captain with FWC says the boat is on its vessel removal project.

Officials tried locating the owner and by law they have 21 days to respond. After two months, there was no response so the process began to find a contractor to get it removed from the sand.

Captain Travis Franklin says it will be gone by July 4th.
