An ICE detainer has been placed on an illegal immigrant from Guatemala who was arrested yesterday for going 106 miles an hour in a 45 mile per hour zone.
Martin County Sheriff's deputies say 22-year old Matias Andres Pascual was arrested as part of an enhanced speed enforcement effort aimed at addressing a rise in serious crashes along Warfield Boulevard.
Pascual is accused of attempting to evade capture by turning off his headlights and running a stop sign before attempting to blend in to a residential neighborhood.
He was eventually arrested and will face deportation after being prosecuted and serving his sentence.
