Delray Beach city leaders decide to continue adding fluoride to the water supply.
By a 3 to 2 vote, the City Commission this week notes that concerns about a potential growing number of young residents suffering from tooth decay outweighed concerns over studies promoted by Florida's Surgeon General.
Dr. Joseph Ladapo was at the Commission meeting, calling the use of fluoride 'public health malpractice.'
"There's enough smoke there to warrant a concern about fire."
Studies that have been cited by Ladapo include claims of a link between fluoride and ADHD in children.
