Another local professor is on administrative leave in connection to posts about Charlie Kirk's assassination on social media.

This time, Dr. Rebel Cole, a professor of finance at FAU, is accused of posting messages in response to the celebratory comments.

Cole allegedly wrote on X" "We are going to hunt you down" and "we are going to identify you" among other comments apparently targeting those writing derogatory things about Kirk.

This just days after another FAU professor, Dr. Karen Leader, was placed on leave for reposting comments from Kirk in a way to show him in a negative light in the wake of his assassination. Both professors are tenured.

The president of the Florida Atlantic University chapter of Turning Point USA is calling for equal accountability. Nick Coyte says "Excusing political violence because the person is racist or bigoted or homophobic or whatever else… that’s not good. But of course, arguing with students and saying they should be on a list is also not a good thing to be doing.”

He is calling for more open debate on campus, proposing a joint event featuring both professors, suggesting it could be cohosted by Turning Point USA's FAU chapter and the school's College Democrats.
