Miami, FL - Miami real estate investor Todd Nepola, the former husband of Real Housewives of Miami star Alexia Nepola, has filed an $11 million lawsuit against Bravo Media, NBCUniversal Media, and Purveyors of Pop Productions.

The suit was submitted on October 7th, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Nepola alleges that the companies falsely portrayed him as facing financial difficulties and misused his name and likeness in later seasons of the show.

According to the complaint, the producers allegedly amplified false storylines suggesting Nepola’s business was struggling.

The suit cites claims made on the show that Nepola and Alexia were forced to break their lease and relocate within a week, which Nepola denies.

He also states that despite raising concerns with the producers about the inaccuracies, the complaints were dismissed.

Nepola contends that these portrayals have damaged his reputation within the Miami business community.

He emphasizes that his net worth exceeds $100 million and that he has never experienced financial hardship.

The lawsuit seeks $10 million in damages for defamation and $1 million for unauthorized use of his name and likeness.

Nepola is also requesting injunctive relief to prevent further misuse or rebroadcast of his image.

The complaint notes that footage from earlier seasons, during which Nepola and Alexia were engaged, was allegedly reused to create defamatory content in Seasons 6 and 7.

The lawsuit claims that these actions were intended to enhance drama for the show.

As of now, Bravo, NBCUniversal, and Purveyors of Pop Productions have not issued a public comment regarding the lawsuit.
