Federal Courts Running Out Of Cash With Ongoing Government Shutdown

Federal courts will soon run out of money as Uncle Sam's shutdown drags into Day #20. Former federal prosecutor David Weinstein says civil cases may start to get backlogged, but criminal cases will not since the sixth amendment guarantees the right to a speedy trial. Court clerks and other staffers will wither work without pay or be furloughed. The Senate will try for an eleventh time to end the shutdown with a vote tonight.
