Miami-Dade, FL - Miami-Dade County will honor fallen Deputy Devin M. Jaramillo with a public memorial service Tuesday at loanDepot Park starting at 10 a.m.

The 27-year-old deputy died November 7th after he was shot during a traffic crash investigation in southwest Miami-Dade.

The suspect allegedly took the deputy's firearm, shot him multiple times, then took his own life.

A private funeral mass was held at the Caballero Rivero Woodlawn funeral home off 116th and SW 117th Ave. to Michael, the Archangel Catholic Church on Flagler Street.

The public procession begins from there at around 9 a.m, traveling north on Northwest 27th Avenue, east on Northwest 7th Street, and south on Northwest 17th Avenue to the stadium.

After the service, expected to end near 1 p.m., the procession will continue north on Northwest 17th Avenue to State Road 836, west to the Florida Turnpike, south to Southwest 120th Street, east to Southwest 117th Avenue, and north to the burial site at Southwest 116th Street.

Jaramillo graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2019 with a criminal justice degree.

He served four years with Coral Gables Police Department, earning Officer of the Month in July 2023, before joining the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office last year.

In August 2025 he seized 13 firearms during a traffic stop.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office called Jaramillo a dedicated professional whose legacy of integrity and bravery will endure.
