WATCH: Miami Beach Prepares For Spring Break 2026

The City of Miami Beach unveiling its new social media campaign ahead of Spring Break - "Wake Up to a New March."

It focuses on wellness, like yoga and beach volleyball on the sand, running, relaxed sidewalk dining and some dancing in clubs.

It comes after two years of relative calm and a campaign of breaking up with Spring Break.

Business leaders are begging commissioners to relax some of the city's 16 public safety measures because the restrictions have pushed away customers.

Some of the proposals being discusses in today's meeting include reopening parking garages and lots but charging up to $100, lifting some barricades, and being more flexible with closing the sand at 6:00 p.m.

Sidewalk cafe closures and curfews would be possible but not anticipated.
