The highly anticipated new emergency room at Jackson Memorial Hospital is officially open. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Hany Atallah tells NBC 6 the focus is on privacy and comfort in this new facility that has 134 rooms and fifty-seven new observation rooms. There are sixty general exam rooms, four resuscitation rooms, six triage and twelve fast-track rooms. The 400-million-dollar facility measuring in a 178-thousand square feet making it one of the largest in the nation.
