Florida International University Gets Federal Funding For Climate Change

Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz announcing nine-million-dollars in federal aid for Florida International University to monitor coastal communities in South Florida. Broward Commissioner Steve Geller says he's been working for years to get funding to determine the impact of sea level rise on infrastructure. The goal is to collect data to determine the effects of saltwater intrusion and water level changes. This will help coastal managers, utilities and municipalities enhance resilience plans.
