- K-Park in Wellington is set to be developed by Related Ross in what will be an expansive mixed used community. The Village of Wellington voted to sell the 67-acre green space near State Road 7 and Stribling Way to Related Ross, for a planned development which will include residences, retail space, a hotel and restaurants.
- Whole Foods has announced an opening date for its 7th store in Palm Beach County. The location in western Boca on Glades Road will open February 11th. On the day of the grand opening free coffee and cookies will be offered, and the first 300 customers will receive a tote bag and coupons worth up to $100.
- Peggy Adams Animal Rescue is offering free cat and dog adoptions this Friday through Sunday in partnership with the Cognizant Classic. Adoption fees will be waived for pets six months old and older with daily adoptions from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily. The Cognizant Classic, which is sponsoring the adoption event, will take place February 26th through March 2nd.
- It’s a cooler start to the day today with temps touching the 50’s. We’ll have cloudy skies today, a chance of showers, with highs in the low 60’s along the Treasure Coast to high 60’s in the Palm Beaches, cooler than usual for this date.
- Gas prices rose another penny per gallon on Wednesday. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $3.23 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.35 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.29 and in Indian River County the average is $3.24 per gallon.
