Promises Made, Promises Kept & The Next 100 Days – April 30th, 2025 - Driven By Braman Motorcars
Takeaway #1: Promises Made, Promises Kept
President Trump marked his first 100 days with a fact sheet of border receipts depicting his historic pace and, in many ways, historic success. The first promise made that the president said he has kept... We will close the border. We will stop the invasion of illegals into our country. Through a series of day one executive orders the president did just that with total illegal immigrants attempting to enter the United States down 95% and total illegal entrants into the United States down by over 99%. The next promise made... We will expel every single illegal alien gang member and migrant criminal operating on American soil and remove the savage gang, Tren de Aragua, from the United States. The promise being kept includes President Trump’s Day 1 executive order designating Tren de Aragua, MS-13, and other transnational gangs as Foreign Terrorist Organizations followed by the arrest and detention of over 150,000 criminal illegal aliens to date including approximately 1,000 who’re members of a foreign terrorist gang. The next promise made... On Day One … We will begin the largest deportation operation in the history of our country. The promise being kept includes a 655% increase in ICE raids and detentions and over 139,000 deportations (a number that would be far greater without legal intervention by the Left and activist courts aimed at slowing President Trump down). Another promise made: I will immediately end the Biden border nightmare that traffickers are using to exploit vulnerable women and children. The administration's claim of the promise being kept includes a record low number of attempted border crossings by women and unaccompanied minors. The next promise made...
Takeaway #2: The Border
Under my leadership, we will seal it up and expand that wall until we have total control. The promise being kept includes the immediate resumption of the construction of the southern border wall with over 85 new miles that are either under construction or are currently in planning (a number that should grow considerably if/when President Trump gets his BBB – Big Beautiful Bill – with the funding he needs). Trump’s next promise made ending “gottaways”... The promise being kept... a decline from over 1,800 gottaways per day under the Biden administration to only 38 per day most recently. Trump’s next promise made... I will ban all welfare and federal benefits for illegals, and then they won’t come. The promise being kept included an immediate executive order banning those lacking legal access to the country from accessing federal government assistance programs including tens of millions of dollars of “claw backs” for government assistance programs by the Biden administration. The next promise made... I will end catch-and-release. The promise kept includes a 99.99% decrease in catch and releases – with a total of only nine that have occurred under the Trump administration all for extenuating circumstances, such as immediate medical emergencies and four people who were called to testify in criminal cases. Trump’s next outlined promise that was made... My administration will deliver justice for every family whose loved one has been stolen from them by migrant crime, including Laken Riley, Rachel Morin, Jocelyn Nungaray, Kayla Hamilton, and every other precious American soul that we have lost to these animals. Their memories will live in their hearts forever and our hearts forever, and we will never, ever forget them. The promise being kept was the Laken Riley Act being the first bill signed into law by President Trump during the first week of his administration. Trump’s next border promise made... I will invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798. Think of that. 1798, this was put there. 1798 — that’s a long time ago, right? To target and dismantle every migrant criminal network operating on American soil. The promise was kept on March 15th when the President invoked the Alien Enemies Act to deport designated terrorists to El Salvador. The next promise made... Kamala’s app for illegals will be shut down immediately — within 24 hours. The promise was kept when President Trump issued a Day One order to shut down and end all processes with inbound aliens but then upped the anty when the Department of Homeland Security then used the app to issue a warning to the (approximately a million people) who’d used the app to enter the country to self deport. The final related promise made...ending sanctuary cities by using the full weight of the federal government to crack down on offenders. President Trump says that it was a promise kept when he issued an executive order to withhold all federal aid for sanctuary jurisdictions and tasked the Justice Department with enforcing the law against offending officials – as we’ve recently seen with action taken against judges in New Mexico and Wisconsin – in what’s likely to be...
Takeaway #3: Just the beginning...
Which is a broader point and a bigger theme. It’s only been 100 days. That’s barely more than a quarter of Trump’s first year. This is only the beginning. Are you tired of winning? And yes, I know...tariffs and trade might make you nervous. But just as President Trump delivered the best economy our country had ever seen preceding the pandemic. What do you expect to see once Trump’s done negotiating trade deals around the world and once he has the BBB in hand from Congress and signs it into law? The Left was wrong about Trump’s tariffs and trade deals the first time around. They’ll likely be wrong about how this will play out this time around. Do you really think Donald Trump would make his legacy the sinking the US economy? Trust the process and light a fire under your congressional rep to get their act together on passing Trump’s agenda with the BBB. I trust congress far less to get their job done, than I do Donald Trump to get the job done to truly Making America Great Again.
