  • Governor DeSantis signed eight health related bills into law on Tuesday: Coverage for Diagnostic and Supplemental Breast Examinations; Insurance Overpayment Claims Submitted to Psychologists; Type 1 Diabetes Early Detection Program; Anaphylaxis in Public and Charter Schools; Refund of Overpayments Made by Patients; Disability History and Awareness Instruction; Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Services; Newborn Screenings. 
  • The state of Florida set another tourism record last year with levels maintained through the first quarter of the year. Visit Florida announced a best-in-the-nation total of 143 million visitors to Florida during the year, a 1.7% increase over the prior year. A total of 41.2 million visitors came to Florida in the first quarter of this year – in line with last year’s record totals and similarly the highest in the country. 
  • It'll be sunny and hot again today with a high in the low 90’s, which is warmer than usual for this date. We’re expecting similar weather tomorrow as well. The National Hurricane Center’s Tropical Outlook is clear for the next 7 days. 
  • Gas prices rose eight cents per gallon on Tuesday. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $3.09 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.26 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.15 and in Indian River County the average is $3.12 per gallon.
