Protests or Riots? The GSS Media Has Learned Nothing – You've Learned a Lot

LA’s Protests or Riots? The GSS Media Has Learned Nothing – You've Learned a Lot - Top 3 Takeaways – June 10th, 2025 Driven By Braman Motorcars

Takeaway #1: They’ve learned nothing

When you look at LA right now, what do you see? A dumpster fire of a city (like literally)? In what feels like a 2020 BLM situation all over again, we’ve now seen four days of violence, burning, and looting. But that’s not at all what the legacy news media sees. No, it’s been “mostly peaceful protests” 2.0. Your Godless, Soulless and Slanderous news media is the definition of insanity in action. Headline ABC News yesterday: LA immigration protests live updates: Newsom suing Trump administration – Trump “flamed the fires and illegally acted to federalize the National Guard.CBS News: Los Angeles anti-ICE protesters clash with police, set fires downtown amid National Guard deployment. Because naturally protestors set fires, right? I suppose the next time someone is charged with arson they should just inform authorities that it was only a protest...and a mostly peaceful one at that. NBC News: Crowds protesting immigration raids ordered to leave downtown. But why? If they’re only protesting, why would they be asked to leave? Isn’t this still the United States of America (actually if you weren’t told it was LA and only saw the people, the flags and the signs – you may well be led to believe that it was happening in a different country)? CNN: Trump seizes on Los Angeles protests in contentious use of military amid migrant crackdown. This story starts out by saying this is the showdown the White House has been waiting for. Come again? We’re supposed to believe that Donald Trump is in favor of a major American city being shut down, burned and looted? Related from the New York Times: Trump Jumps at the Chance for a Confrontation in California Over Immigration. Now, here’s something interesting. Do you know where I found some real reporting? The LA Times, yes, the LA Times, as covered in the story under this headline: L.A. officials struggle to curb ‘disgusting’ vandalism, thefts, violence in downtown L.A. The LA Times had seven reporters contribute to that story. It’s an interesting thing when it’s happening in YOUR city. The LA Times recognized this and has been credibly reporting on the events unlike their brethren in the legacy GSS news media. On that note here’s an excerpt from the story that says it all: From Democrat Assemblymember Majority Whip Mark Gonzalez who represents the district: Let’s be absolutely clear: the violent acts we’re seeing — rocks thrown at officers, CHP cars and Waymo vehicles set on fire, arson on the 101 freeway — have nothing to do with immigration, justice, or the values of our communities. These are not protestors — they are agitators. Their actions are reckless, dangerous. At a time when our emergency services are already stretched thin, these acts divert critical police resources away from real emergencies and put lives at risk. Yet why outside of LA isn’t it being reported that way? You know the answer, I know the answer and guess what...

Takeaway #2: They’re imploding

By now you likely know that trust in traditional news media has reached a record low with only 31% of Americans having even a “fair” amount of trust in traditional news according to Gallup. So, what is it that they’ve decided to continue to do? Exactly what it is that brought us to this point. What continues to be particularly remarkable about the state of news reporting is they continue to shed audiences and readers in remarkable numbers without any indication that they intend to change course. I conducted a review of all of the aforementioned legacy news outlets. Despite our country’s population being larger than ever before, there’s not a single legacy news outlet that’s not lost at least 40% of its audience from peak levels. That’s a figure that’s inclusive of broadcast, print and digital numbers. How long would you keep your job if your work resulted in the loss of over 40% of the customers you came in contact with? It’s truly the definition of insanity with these people. But they’re still not fooling you, and you’re still not buying them as credible sources of news. Yesterday, Sinclair Media polled this question: Should President Trump have sent national guard troops into Los Angeles to control attacks on federal agents? With 30,000+ responses, what percentage do you think said yes? 72. No, what you see taking place in LA isn’t an 80-20 issue, but it’s a 72% issue, and that’s huge!

Takeaway #3: You get it. I get it. They still don’t get it.

With numbers that large it’s possible that Joe Biden might even get it (to the extent he gets anything these days). It’s clear that even many Democrats, a la the Assemblymember for the L.A. district, get it. The disconnect between the GSS news media and you has never been wider but it continues to grow due entirely to no fault of your own but their unwillingness to do the right thing, their relentlessness in purely pursing their leftist ideology and their unmitigated hatred for the current president of the United States. Most are overwhelmingly against illegal immigrants taking advantage of our country. All but anarchists and gangbangers are against looting, attacking police and setting things on fire. Yet that’s evidently the MSM current and only remaining constituency.
