- Governor DeSantis has signed four additional bills into law, including one that redefines requirements for a “building official” to serve on the Palm Beach County Building Code Advisory Board. The new law removes the requirement that a building official be a full-time employee of a municipality or county, and instead, requires the building official to serve a municipality or the county. The 16-member Palm Beach County advisory board advises the County Commission and local governments on building codes and standards.
- Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the addition of ICE Agent Anthony Coker who will be permanently embedded with the state’s law enforcement agencies aimed at assisting the federal government to enforce immigration law within the state.
- Edmonton overcame a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Panthers 5-4 in overtime in game four, tying the series at two games. Game 5 is Saturday night in Edmonton.
- Saharan Dust will continue to make its way over the state today, bringing drier air and sunny skies that will last through the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 80’s, which is a little warmer than usual for this date.

- Gas prices fell another two cents per gallon on Thursday. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $2.96 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.15 per gallon, in Martin the average is $2.97 and in Indian River County the average is $2.97 per gallon.
