The Left Failed Again, Israel’s Winning Again & Florida’s Tax Cuts – Top 3

The Left Failed Again, Israel’s Winning Again & Florida’s Tax Cuts – Top 3 Takeaways – June 16th, 2025 - Driven By Braman Motorcars

Takeaway #1: They huffed, and they puffed, and they failed again

How was your weekend? Did you have a nice Father’s Day? Did you happened to see Army’s 250th parade which was both an amazing and patriotic display to see but also a reminder that under President Trump we once again can feel good about the direction of our country? Now, how many people have you bumped into over the past day that were like, heck yeah – that NoKings thing – what a great day? So, about that... I’ll give them credit. The legacy GSS news media tried as hard as they could to try to generate interest in the phony, repackaged, NoKings thing on Saturday – branded by Chuck Schumer, paid for by George Soros and friends and organized by Democrats and their Marxist third party organizations. Heck, CBS News even promoted the purchase of NoKings merchandise for attending Saturday’s festivities. And from national news outlets to local news outlets, stories were posted in advance about the planned times and locations of protests for the purpose of being able to attend. I think you'd have to go back to the January 6th Committee to find the last time the GSS media provided so much free advertising in-kind to an anti-American, anti-Trump thing. Anyway – here's a fact. President Trump has had rallies bigger, than the biggest crowds that showed for events in any city. Here’s another fact, while reporting over the past day, claims “millions” attended events across the country (with organizers claiming that perhaps the number was 5 million) there’s not only no official estimates that put the real numbers anywhere close to that reality – use of the term “millions” likely wasn’t reality. In reviewing estimated turnout numbers from across the country – at the high end with generous assumptions – the number I came up with was 1.8 million. So, what does that mean? At most, about a half of one percent of Americans gave a rip about NoKings. A half of one percent. Look at the reporting before, during, and after. For perspective – the total audience for Fox News’ “The Big Weekend Show”, is about that size. How much reporting did you see on it over the weekend? Incidentally, the Military parade in Washington D.C. for the Army’s 250th birthday – with much less publicity from the media in advance and during – drew an audience greater than 15 million people who watched broadcasts and streams (with many more after the event). And as for the parade and the overall event – it was an awesome thing to see. President Trump’s team did justice to paying homage to the country’s oldest fighting force that first ended tyranny and established sovereignty and continues to provide freedom for Marxist malcontents to protest.

Takeaway #2: God Bless Israel and we should be thankful too...

Show of hands. How many people want the U.S. going to war with Iran? Show of hands. How many people are cool with Iran having nuclear bombs? So given that none of us want American boots on the ground in Iran – which also isn’t just Iran but is China, is Russia, is North Korea (with Little Rocket Man), is Cuba, is Venezuela and Nicaragua. We certainly don’t want WWIII. So, God Bless the Israeli’s for doing what the entire world needs them to do. A couple of notes about what’s transpired here. We know multiple nuclear enrichment sites have been taken offline. We know Tehran’s main energy supply has gone up in smoke, we know dozens of top Iranian leaders and scientists have come to learn that there weren’t any virgins waiting for them. But what we also know is that no actual permanent disabling of Iran’s nuclear programs has taken place. If the nuclear material had taken any direct hits, there would be elevated radiation levels in surrounding areas. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency there isn’t any increase in radiation. So, what’s happened thus far is a massive setback for Iran, but not a nuclear disabling. So, what would you like to see happen here from here? Personally, I’d love to see the IDF finish the job that most of the rest of the world, if they’re being honest, would like to see happen too.

Takeaway #3: A done deal?

The Florida legislature votes today on the budget package they came to an agreement on, on Friday. In the end Governor DeSantis, nor his adversary in this year’s session, House Speaker Daniel Perez, got what they wanted. The compromised deal doesn’t include DeSantis’ desired property tax cuts. It also doesn’t include Perez’s preferred state sales tax cut. What it does include, an elimination of Florida’s business rent tax, a host of sales tax holidays many have grown accustomed to including, hurricane supplies and going back-to-school – which will be made a permanent sales tax holiday. There will be a sales tax holiday for camping, fishing and hunting supplies in addition to other outdoor activities. The state sales tax will also be repealed for the purchase of tickets to state parks, NASCAR races and for the purchase of gold, platinum, or silver bullion. One semi-win for DeSantis in the budget, is money that’s allocated to studying the impact of a potential elimination of property taxes. That doesn’t deliver property tax relief this year, but it is the important first step towards potentially getting an amendment on the ballot for voters to consider next year. Florida’s budget deal finally appears to be a done deal.
