Israel Is Winning & No One Is Coming to Iran’s Defense – Top 3 Takeaways – June 17th, 2025 - Driven By Braman Motorcars
Takeaway #1: The silence is deafening
But it is also pleasing. I’ll explain. In the past day’s developments with the Israel – Iran war two very important dynamics weren’t in play on Monday. In the words President Trump at the G7 in Canada: Iran is not winning this war. No, they are not. There’s plenty of evidence that this is the case, but in the context that a picture is “worth a thousand words”, there were many words that came to mind as silence was brought to the Iranian state news operation. In some of the more dramatic live TV footage that you’ll ever see – the state news broadcast ended when an Israeli rocket struck the building and sent the anchor running off the screen. No propaganda machine, not even the Mullahs in Iran, can try to spin that one positively. The sudden silence of that broadcast became deafening within the country as it was a sign of how Israel was able to strike into the heart of Tehran at will, silence the Islamic Republic’s propagandizing in a move that may prove to be symbolic for the overall collapse of the regime should Israel continue and truly end this thing. More on that dynamic in a moment...but first there were the other acts of deafening silence out of China and Russia. On Monday, in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying that the Iranian government was currently “very weak” and that regime change “could certainly be the result” of Israel’s current campaign, did you hear from President’s Putin or Xi? Nope. What you heard instead, when the Kremlin was asked about Netanyahu’s comments, was a Kremlin spokesperson saying: We have certainly seen this statement, we've heard and read (it). The Kremlin condemns the actions that have led to such a dangerous escalation in tensions. Wow, not only did Putin decide not to personally comment on the situation, but this IS Iran’s biggest ally that didn’t even specifically call out Israel’s actions. And as for China, while CCP official issued a statement over the weekend “condemning Israel’s actions”, President XI meet with Central Asian leaders on Monday, never even addressing the Iranian regime. This is especially important because what became crystal clear on Monday is that if you’re Iran...
Takeaway #2: No help is coming
As I’ve long said China isn’t just China, it’s Russia, it’s Iran, it’s North Korea (with Little Rocket Man), it’s Cuba, it’s Venezuela and Nicaragua. But while allied, what that doesn’t mean is that their objectives are all the same. While the Mullahs in Iran, are Islamic zealots practicing Shria law, China actively persecutes Muslims, and faith of any kind is about the furthest thing from Putin’s mind. Their common interest is oil and for China and Russia, to have something of an ally with a significant foothold in the region. Recently I’d mentioned that on a call with President Trump, President Putin agreed that Iran shouldn’t have nuclear weapons. And as far as China goes, a country with over 600 nuclear war heads and growing...they’ve issued a statement that there can never be a nuclear war. What this means is that for Iran no help is coming. What you see is what you see, and Israel is effectively having their way with Iran at this point which means that the prospect of Iranian regime change is growing. And here’s the thing. This might be perfect timing. We don’t exactly have a great history with regime changes in the middle east but what’s different this time...
Takeaway #3: Is that the people want it
Take the Palestinian situation for a moment. As I recently pointed out some will say that Hamas has taken advantage of the Palestinian people, but that’s not true. Not only was Hamas elected by the people, and not only do 97% of Palestinians surveyed harbor hate towards Jews, but 71% of Palestinians surveyed after October 7th said it was the right thing to do. We’re talking about a culture of terror, a culture of evil and a culture of death. That’s what Palestinians choose and it’s also why there can’t be a two-state solution and peace. The Palestinian people literally voted in and support a government led by a terrorist organization in Hamas that has a stated purpose in their founding document that states: Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it. '[Peace] initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement... Those conferences are no more than a means to appoint the infidels as arbitrators in the lands of Islam... There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by Jihad. However, the long-suffering Iranian people don’t want what they’ve got with the current state of the Islamic Republic led by the Ayatollahs that chant “death to Israel, death to America” when they get together in Tehran. The most recent public surveying out of Iran shows 81% of Iranians want a regime change with 73% who no longer want Sharia (Islamic) law. That’s what’s different this time. The Iranian people overwhelmingly want a different governing regime and one that’s vastly different than what Iran has seen since at least 1979 when the Islamic Republic took hold in the country. And with the leaders of Iran’s two biggest allies not even saying a thing as the Iranian government is on the brink – regime change is starting to feel like a potentially inevitable outcome. The question is how?
