  • The Florida Panthers repeated as Stanley Cup Champions with a 5-1 victory over Edmonton in game 6 making the Panthers the eigth team in NFL history to repeat as champions and the second Florida team to do so this decade as Tampa most recently repeated in ‘20 and ‘21. Panthers forward Sam Bennett took home the MVP award.  
  • While at the Paris Airshow on Tuesday, Governor DeSantis signed two aviation related bills into law. The Aerospace Industry law, which establishes the International Aerospace Innovation Fund to be administered by Space Florida for the purpose of accelerating aerospace innovation within the state and the Transportation law which establishes the Florida Transportation Research Institute to provide an epicenter for Florida universities and aerospace industries to conduct high value research and innovation. 
  • The Palm Beach County commission voted for Joseph Abruzzo, to become the county’s new administrator following the recent retirement of Verdenia Baker. Abruzzo, 44, was the youngest of the four finalists, he currently serves as County Clerk and Comptroller and previously served in the state legislature.  
  • It'll be sunny and hot again today with highs near 90, which is slightly warmer than usual for this date. Similar weather is expected for the remainder of the week with Saharan dust continuing across the Atlantic making its way into the Gulf of America.  
  • The National Hurricane Center’s Tropical Outlook is clear for the next 7 days. 
  • Gas prices rose another five cents per gallon over the past day. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $3.14 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.29 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.18 and in Indian River County the average is $3.17 per gallon.
