Trump’s Psychology, SCOTUS’ Transition & Tropical Optimism – Top Takeaways

Trump’s Psychology, SCOTUS’ Transition & Tropical Optimism – Top 3 Takeaways – June 19th, 2025 - Driven By Braman Motorcars

Takeaway #1: Maybe I will... Maybe I won’t

I’ll say this much for President Trump regardless of whatever he eventually decides to do or not do pertaining to U.S. military intervention in Iran. He quickly became the king of psychological warfare. On Tuesday, President Trump notably posted this on Truth in speaking of Iran: We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter! Followed by his post that called for “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”, the president seemingly continued to troll the Ayatollah on Wednesday when asked if he planned to go full Gap Band by dropping the prolific MOP’s on Iran’s nuclear facilities. His answer: Yes, I may do it. I may not do it. I mean, nobody knows what I'm going to do. I can tell you this that Iran's got a lot of trouble. One can only imagine what the current way of life is for the world’s leading sponsor of terror, but it can’t be a lot of fun watching your government, your infrastructure, and your buddies systematically picked apart. It must also frequently cross your mind if you’re next. But here’s the thing and I believe it’s why, at least as of today, President Trump’s hasn’t decided for intervention, and instead is dropping mental bombs. His perceived lack of predictability has always been a strength on the world stage. As the ultimate negotiator, who’s always looking for a better deal, in his four and a half years as president there is only one circumstance where he used force instead of words to settle things. It was at the onset of his first term when ISIS, thanks to the fecklessness of President Obama, had been terrorizing the world which included carrying out multiple attacks within the United States – in route to having established their caliphate. President Trump promised on the campaign trail that he’d “bomb the blank out of ISIS”. He became president, ISIS was still ISIS, and he bombed the blank out of them ending their caliphate just as he promised. Aside from that one instance, President Trump’s only wars have been of words. Many have made much out of President Trump frequently referring to “we” when describing the success of Israel’s military actions. As in “we” have total control of Iran’s airspace, etc. The implication by many is that it surely seems like Trump is indicating that he intends to join the military action and that’s exactly what he wants all interested parties to think. Just as Trump gave Iran 60 days to negotiate an end to their nuclear program before Israel, not the United States, engaged in war – if there is a desire for both peace and stability – it's in everyone’s best interest (even the Supreme Leader’s - whether he realizes it or not) to think President Trump is willing to finish this war. Maybe Trump will do it. Maybe he won’t. But if he doesn’t, it’s because the fear that he would was enough.

Takeaway #2: Sanity prevails but Democrats are nuts

In many respects the nuttiest thing of all is that child mutilation is even a debated topic of conversation, let alone a thing that has been happening “legally” in this country. In recent years we’ve seen rapid growth of what’s called “gender dysphoria” being diagnosed – with cases totaling over 42,000 per year for children between the ages of 6 (yes 6!)-17. That’s over 115 children per day in this country being diagnosed by a quack with many that act. Over 90% of treatments for children are hormones with the balance seek surgeries. Anyway, while many blue states have expressly legalized child mutilations, most red states have gone the other way, like Florida with our 2023 law banning these types of procedures. On Wednesday, the United States Supreme Court ruled in a 6-3 decision that Tennessee’s related law can stand. The law specifically: prohibits all medical treatments intended to allow 'a minor to identify with, or live as, a purported identity inconsistent with the minor's sex' or to treat 'purported discomfort or distress from a discordance between the minor's sex and asserted identity. Now, again, nuts that we’re having this conversation. Nuts that tens of thousands of kids per year are victimized by the medical establishment. Nuts that Tennessee’s law had to get the Supreme Court to be upheld, but yay that it did. But nuts that the three justices appointed by Democrats, believe in child mutilation. Sanity prevailed at the Supreme Court on Wednesday, but Democrats are clearly nuts and with Supreme Court Justices theoretically being among the most reasonable of the bunch what’s that say about the future if they’re voted back into power?

Takeaway #3: Cautiously Optimistic

Do you know what happened a year ago today? The first named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season. Do you know what won’t happen for at least the next seven days? The first named storm of this year’s hurricane season, according to the National Hurricane Center. Do you know the last year we didn’t have a named storm on or before June 19th? It was 2014. Do you know what was special about 2014? With only eight named storms, it was the least active year we’ve had this century. We can only hope to be so lucky this year, but we’re off to a good start with the trend currently serving as our friend.
