What a Week, NYC’s Demise is Our Gain & Enormous Damage – Top 3 Takeaways – June 27th, 2025 - Driven By Braman Motorcars
Takeaway #1: What a week it’s been
1984. That year brings about the thought of a few different things. The Reagan Revolution was in full swing leading to the Gipper carrying 49 states (and coming within 1% in Minnesota of a clean sweep). It brings about the thought of George Orwell and a theoretical future that seemed to be all too real until January 20th. Something that doesn’t come to mind when you hear that year is Iran, however if you’ve been around that long – that's how long you’ve been hearing about concerns regarding their nuclear program. 41 years' worth of worry and frustration came crashing down with 14 MOPs. 1949. When you hear that year, I’m not sure if anything specific will come to mind but that’s the year that NATO was established, and 76 years is how long, as Americans, we’ve been getting ripped off by our “allies”. As I broke out yesterday, despite NATO having 32 nations, we, the United States pay 68.7% of the freight for defense within the alliance. This week President Trump got every NATO country but Spain to agree to spend 5% of their GDP on defense that will ensure they’re paying their fair share of defense needs putting an end to 76 years of Americans being ripped off to pay for the protection of everyone else. This carries an estimated annual cost savings of up to $440 billion per year to the United States. And if you’ve been watching your 401k – you probably have noticed you’re doing more than ok. That’s because the S&P 500 is on the brink of a new record high this week – after having rebounded by 20% from the April lows – in what has proven to be one of the greatest buying opportunities in American history – just as I predicted it would be at the absolute lows in early April. What a week it’s been. Our country is winning. Trump is winning. You’re probably winning. I’ll never get tired of winning, however there’s so much of it to cover – I’ll admit I do get tired keeping up with covering all of it. It’s an impressive thing.
Takeaway #2: New York’s Potential Debacle is our Gain
I’ve had some folks ask me for my thoughts on the New York City mayoral thing. I have three. 1) Zohran Mamdani’s winning the Democrat primary is a gift to the GOP 2) He may not win the general election 3) It’s already a big win for Florida – if he does win the general election, it will be a historic win for Florida. On the first point, having an overt antisemitic socialist winning the Democrat primary in the largest city in the country speaks volumes about the state of the Democrat Party. Democrats continue to pretend that they’re not really socialists in general elections, but their policies are in line with socialist policies and their elected officials are increasingly overt socialists. This is an easy contrast for any reasonably minded person to see that’s made especially easy with politicians like Mamdani winning Democrat primaries. You will continue to see Jews and Hispanics flee the DNC for the GOP. Secondly, Mayor Eric Adams announced his campaign as an independent candidate for mayor yesterday. At the same time Andrew Cuomo, defeated in the Democrat primary, appears to be making an independent bid as well. That’s trouble for Adams whom he is most likely to split votes with. There may be a universe where a heavily fractured vote works out for Republican Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels. Mamdani looks to be in the driver’s seat, but the end result isn’t a given. And thirdly, Florida’s gain is evident. Take this CNBC story – headline: Zohran Mamdani’s victory in NYC mayoral primary leaves Wall Street ‘alarmed’ and ‘depressed’. As is cited early in the story: Philippe Laffont, founder of hedge fund Coatue Management, told CNBC that a Mamdani win could trigger another exodus of wealthy investors. Since the pandemic, a wave of wealthy residents and institutional firms have fled the nation’s largest city for low-tax states such as Florida and Texas. South Florida has already been dubbed Wall Street South due to the previous exodus from the semi-socialist state of New York. In total 56 financial firms have relocated from New York to Florida since 2020, 37 of which have relocated to Palm Beach County. As is mentioned in the CNBC article, firms that already were on the fence were moved off by Mamdani’s primary win. They’re already making plans to move our way and won’t wait around to see what happens on Election Day. But many more who were not on the fence now are and if the socialist wins and presides over Wall Street – it will be an exodus in this direction like we’ve never seen with a very realistic chance that South Florida would replace New York city as the global epicenter of capitalism.
Takeaway #3: Enormous damage
It would be essentially impossible for your GSS news media to do enormous damage to their reputations because only 31% of Americans have even “a fair amount” of trust in legacy news media. Nevertheless, the legacy pinheads were at it again all throughout the week in trying to allege that Iran’s nuclear program wasn’t destroyed by the U.S. MOPs dropping on Iran’s nuclear facilities last Saturday. I covered this extensively yesterday – there were a couple of related updates yesterday. First from Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth in his detailed presser. Next from the UN Atomic Energy Agency’s chief who said that their initial assessment was that “enormous damage” was done to Iran’s nuclear program. So even the U.N. isn’t backing the MSM’s narrative. And here’s the most important point of all. It’s how we know that President Trump, his administration, the Israeli intelligence agencies and now even the U.N. are telling the truth. And it’s as revealing pertaining to the credibility (or lack thereof) of legacy news outlets as any issue you will ever see covered in your lifetime. The way you know Trump is telling the truth on this, is as simple as this. So, let’s say that Trump is progandizing on this. How could that possible end well for him – let alone the rest of the world? Iran comes back in six months as says “surprise we have nukes”. This is the world’s leading sponsor of terror. This isn’t a matter than the president can progandize, control and make go away. And that, that basic analytical reality isn’t thought of, inherently understood, and accepted by the MSM’s tells you all you’ll ever need to know about them. There’s no way for this to be a conspiracy or a cover up without literal nuclear bombs going off. And thus, this is why only 31% of people are still brainwashed enough to still potentially believe them. The enormous damage to their credibly was done long ago, but they still won’t let go of their blind biases to report the truth.
