  • Amid the crackdown in illegal immigration by the Trump administration in South Florida, and across the county, most federal cases in the Palm Beaches and Treasures Coast, 55%, are now immigration related cases. The information is based on the latest reporting by Syracuse University’s TRAC, or Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse. Overall immigration cases are greater than 4 times higher than a year ago. 
  • Authorities are looking for help in a string of vehicle break-ins that occurred in two Boynton Beach communities Sunday night into Monday morning. Numerous vehicles in Bayfront and Seagate of Gulfstream were broken into with the vehicles commonly damaged and belongings being stolen. If you have any information that might be helpful Boynton Beach PD would like for you to report it to them.  
  • A Stuart eye doctor and owner of Treasure Coast Eye Specialists has been charged with murdering his ex-wife. Authorities allege that following a separation and $250,000 divorce settlement, Dr. Richard Seith shot his –ex-wife, Spirt Airlines Flight Attendant Cynthia Seith, outside of her condo in Greenacres. Dr. Seith is being held without bond and is charged with first degree murder with a firearm. 
  • It'll be hot and mostly cloudy with highs near 90, which is a little warmer than usual for this date. Another Saharan dust plume is currently tracking across the central Atlantic into the Caribbean with the potential to impact our weather later this week. Related... 
  • The National Hurricane Center’s 7-day Tropical Weather Outlook is clear as the disturbance in the southern Atlantic now has a 0% chance of development. 
  • Gas prices fell another four cents per gallon on Monday. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $3.03 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.20 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.01 and in Indian River County the average is $3.05 per gallon.
