Banning No Cash Bail, Florida Accountability & To Uganda w/Love – Top 3

Banning No Cash Bail, Florida Accountability & To Uganda w/Love – Top 3 Takeaways, August 26th, 2025

Takeaway #1: The will of the people

Do you support no cash bail? Neither does a single person who believes in the rule of law or sanity. And certainly, President Trump doesn’t. On Monday the president signed an executive order banning cashless bail in Washington, D.C., as he seeks to clean up that city after having federalized the police force, but also with a policy that extends to any cashless jurisdiction across the country. Under the president’s order, governments with cashless bail policies in place are to lose federal dollars due to having those policies in place. In documenting the basis for the president’s order, the Whitehouse said “Cashless Bail” is a Government Backed Crime Spree. In the note the president’s team documented numerous heinous crimes from sexual abuse of children to mass murders committed by those who’d just been released from an arrest without any bail or any consequences. There are currently three states, Illinois, New York and New Jersey, with varying degrees of no cash bail policies in place statewide with approximately twenty additional major cities that’ve adopted no cash bail policies including Boston, D.C., Detroit, Houston, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle to just name a few. Polling has shown 65% of Americans reject the idea of cashless bail, with get this, even a majority of New York City residents saying it’s time to end it. In a recent mayoral poll in New York City 53% of voters said that a mayoral candidate supporting no cash bail was less likely to get their vote with only 23% saying it would make them more likely to support a candidate. In other words, most people, even in New York City, still have common sense when it comes to this. Keep that in mind as you hear, read and watch coverage that’s highly critical of this policy. But the other big, related news yesterday, as the administration announced they’d already made over 1,000 arrests in D.C. since federalizing the police, was that the president also signed an executive order creating National Guard units to address what the president identified as public order issues. Trump also held open the possibility that he may send troops into the crime riddled city of Chicago. That prompted another question yesterday. This one posed by Sinclair Media this way: Do you support President Trump’s use of federal resources to combat crime in U.S. cities? 67% said yes. The bottom line is this...when it comes to crime Americans are overwhelmingly behind President Trump’s policies to combat it – which only goes to show how out of touch the GSS news media and the Left at large is.

Takeaway #2: The will of Floridians

On Sunday morning I received an email from a Campaign Communications Specialist from Change.org (who felt the need to inform me of her pronouns in her email’s signature), promoting a petition pushing for leniency for our illegal alien semi-truck driver Harjinder Singh. The petition that calls for lessor charges and lighter sentencing than what the state is pushing for in this case which includes three charges of vehicular homicide and three charges of manslaughter, did impressively gain about 2.8 million signatures rather quickly. But notably, not from anywhere around here, as in the community where the illegal alien, with an illegal CDL, killed three. No, the top respondent is from Australia, the second top respondent is from Canada, and the third leading respondent is also from Australia so yeah – the leaders of the pack aren’t even from our country! Numerous news outlets have reported on the petition including CBS 12 (without contextualizing that the support being generated commonly isn’t even within this country). However, they also did something else. They’ve polled on the matter. The question they posed: Is considering leniency for the undocumented trucker involved in a deadly crash reasonable? What do you think the response was by people in this community? By a margin of 93% to 7%, the answer was no – to leniency. So, to the folks in Sydney who want leniency – you’re not going to get what you’re looking for. This is Florida. And the next time that someone illegally emigrates into your country, illegally obtains a commercial driver’s license with it, and illegally kills three people in your community with it – you can plead for leniency in a more meaningful way...and see what the victims’ families have to say.

Takeaway #3: To Uganda with love

Speaking of matters involving criminal illegal immigrants. Our old friend, the Maryland Man took another turn on Monday as well. The human smuggling, wife beating, MS-13ing father-of-the-year candidate appropriately named Kilmar, was taken into custody once again by ICE with another deportation order – this one bound for Uganda. But predictably his attorney once again sued seeking to halt the deportation in the jurisdiction of Obama-appointee Judge Paula Xinis, seeking to provide this “Maryland man”, with as many rights as you and me. Yet again it’ll be interesting to see what will happen with this previously deported but returned illegal alien. Border Czar Tom Homan had this to say: He is absolutely going to be deported. And for the person who says we're not going to separate family, his family can go with him, because he's leaving. So there you go. He’s welcome to go to Uganda with love...
