How Often Do You Question Yourself?
Bottom Line: Do you spend a lot of your day wondering why you just made the decision you made? And then perhaps questioning what the next thing you’re going to do will be? And then questioning that decision too? If that sounds like you...you’re normal.
A recent survey by Talker Research, commissioned by Traditional Medicinals, reveals that the average American spends a lot of time questioning themselves. According to the study of 2,000 adults, the average person questions 41% of their daily decisions, with one in eight overthinking nearly every choice. The study found people make around 50 decisions daily...Meaning the average person is spending time questioning at least 20 things they do a day.
The survey highlights significant stress around decision-making, highlighted with a seemingly simple trip to a grocery store, where 27% of people feel overwhelmed. 36% of people experience “aisle anxiety” or feel pressured by crowded stores or aisles (37%). The survey also found that 40% of consumers research food products more now than five years ago.
Sound familiar? The good news is that if you’re spending a lot of your day doubting what you just did or wondering if you should do what you’re about to do, it’s normal. The better news is that if that type of mindset sounds familiar to you is that a bit more decisiveness in your decision-making could lead to a lot more time freed up in your day...and perhaps a few less headaches.
