Today’s entry: Submitted via talkback: This is Scott out of Florida, longtime listener. I think the scary part is. You know what, what Charlie was professing wasn't even anything that extreme, just basic, hey, two genders, love God, love Jesus. Hey, the 2nd Amendment's important, we got to protect it. Free speech is important. I mean, he wasn't even radical, and that's the scary part.
Bottom Line: You’re exactly right and that in a nutshell shows how far removed from God our society at large has become over the past four decades. The window of time in which all references to God have been removed from schools and non-belief in God has soared from only about 6% of the population to over a quarter of the population most recently (along with a corresponding increase in mental health issues). As I’ve said many times, the further society is removed from God’s word, the worse the outcomes will be. Btw, this has been proven time and again biblically and historically, and we seem to be at something of a crossroads in our society as far as that goes.
For decades our country, which was founded on Judeo-Christian values, has drifted away from them. As a society we’ve gone so far down that road, that for a decade now, we’ve had the medical establishment, which lest we forget has an oath of “doing no harm”, has not only been more than willing to carry out abortions on demand, literally eliminating the life of God’s children in the process but that has also been carrying out “transgendered procedures”. God doesn’t make mistakes and yet our society normalized the idea that God doesn’t exist, the God doesn’t matter, and that you can carry out medical procedures to be whatever it is that you want to pretend to be on that day.
As I’ve spoken to somewhat considerably, those who normalize the abomination that transgenderism is are cancers on society. That’s due to nearly 6 in ten of those who identify as being “transgender” having clinically detectable mental health issues independent of transgenderism...and also a decade worth of evidence that shows not surprisingly the mental health issues only exacerbate over time as one “transitions”. As we’ve learned Charlie Kirk’s assassin was living with and having a relationship with a “transitioning” man that appears to be central in the radicalization of the perpetrator. So on this note let’s take this opportunity to share what Charlie Kirk stood for and what TP USA stands for as the movement is set to become bigger and more effective than ever.
Turning Point USA operates in four chapters, or movements:
- Blexit
- Faith
- Education
- Alumni
Here’s what each of the movements do...
- Blexit: BLEXIT is the largest minority grassroots movement in the country. We focus on shifting culture through electric live events, thoughtful grassroots organizing, and inspiring educational initiatives. BLEXIT stands for the ‘Black Exit’ from the victimhood mentality. Education is essential to transforming today’s culture, while also fostering the next generation of minorities. As a result, BLEXIT offers educational programming - for both adults and youth - that focus on basic civics, American history, and other critical topics without the influence of progressive ideology.
- Faith: TPUSA Faith exists to unite the Church around primary doctrine and to eliminate wokeism from the American pulpit.
- Education: Turning Point Education is dedicated to RECLAIMING the education of our children, REVIVING virtuous education focused on truth, goodness, and beauty, and RESTORING God as the foundation of education.
- Alumni: Turning Point USA’s Alumni Association exists to engage and activate our growing network of post-graduate activists. Through exclusive benefits, a strategic program structure, increased communications, and more, the Turning Point USA Alumni Association aims to build pride, participation, and philanthropic commitment to Turning Point USA.
So yes, Turning Point USA was led by Charlie Kirk’s fearless “Prove Me Wrong” events on college campuses, which will continue as Erika Kirk referenced in her remarkable statements on Friday, but the organization is also so much more through each of these initiatives.
Following Erika Kirk’s impassioned remarks we’ve learned this: over 18,000 requests to establish new chapters for Turning Point USA have come into the organization. There were 9,000 established TPUSA chapters preceding Charlie Kirk’s death. Also came word that approximately $3 million had been donated to the Kirk family with undisclosed amounts to TP USA. For additional context, here are Turning Point’s donations by year based on IRS records:
- 2021: $55 million
- 2022: $80 million
- 2023: $81 million
- 2024: $84 million
There was a major post-pandemic surge in support for Turning Point. Charlie and the TP USA team accomplished what they accomplished with that level of resources. One might imagine we’ll see the biggest surge in funding and support to date as is indicated based on the chapter requests. TP USA will almost certainly reach more people than it’s ever reached. As some have said – Charlie’s assassination was the Turning Point.
