Targeted ICE Violence, The Charlie Kirk Effect & A Turn in Housing?

Targeted ICE Violence, The Charlie Kirk Effect Continues & A Turning Point in Housing? – Top 3 Takeaways, September 25th, 2025

Takeaway #1: An Act of Targeted Violence

How many times have we heard about that kind of thing recently? Yesterdays attack on an ICE van by a sniper who used anti-ICE messaging is, but the latest event identified by the FBI as “an act of targeted violence”. Just two weeks removed from the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and one day following the conviction of the second would-be Trump assassination, the radical Left was at it again attempting to assassinate ICE agents, however miscalculating and murdering an illegal immigrant and wounding others instead. But did you know that yesterday’s attack in Dallas was actually the third attack on ICE agents within just the past week? Last Friday in Chicago over 100 rioters threw tear gas, slashed tires and blocked vehicles at an ICE processing center. The day before 11 New York state legislators and four other rioters physically blocked ICE agents from accessing a federal building (they were arrested). Only six days before that an illegal immigrant used a vehicle to attempt to murder an ICE agent in Illinois – hitting the officer and dragging him – leaving him seriously injured. Again, this has all happened within the past two weeks. There have been at least eight other violent attacks on ICE just since July and the previous ICE targeting attack with snipers in Texas. In the words of FBI Director Kash Patel yesterday: These despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off. They certainly are not. And they are happening more frequently. Following the assassination of Charlie Kirk I brought you a series of stories that showed the disturbing view of the possible based on the mindset of the left. As mentioned in my story: Assassination Culture: Political Violence Tolerated By The Left... The study, conducted earlier this year, highlighted a growing acceptance of lethal violence, particularly among younger, ideologically left individuals active on social media. And most specifically up to 55% of those who identify as being left-of-center felt that an assassination of President Trump could be potentially justified (with 13% who think it would be completely justified)! Those are scary stats. They’re troubling numbers. And right on cue yesterday’s assassin was identified as a 29-year-old man with social media postings that were supportive of Antifa, an organization that just on Monday President Trump declared to be a domestic terrorist organization, and with communist propaganda. The assassination culture is here. What we don’t know is how many of those who feel that political assassinations are justified, are willing to attempt to carry them out. But the view of the possible given the deeply disturbing mindset of what’s now most people who identify with the political Left, may be what we’re beginning to see. What’s clear is that politicians on the Left who’ve been fanning the flames of anti-ICE sentiment are responsible for radicalizing impressionable Leftists into terrorists. This is what Marxists do. This is why the political Left must be defeated in every election.

Takeaway #2: The Charlie Kirk Effect Continues

Last week I brought you the news that the Charlie Kirk Effect was real and that a remarkable number of people were reconnecting with their faith or making first time connections. Research shows that church attendance post-Kirk's assassination has surged by 15% - a figure that’s on par with what we saw after 9/11. But that’s not all. In this digital age with many ways to connect with one’s faith we’re also seeing that connection being made socially and through apps that perpetuate Christianity. The leading related app – Hallow, is seeing a surge that’s even larger. According to Hallow, they’ve seen a 95% increase in new users over the first two weeks since the attack on Charlie. Hallow already had over well over 10 million users worldwide, Ashely and I included, so this increase isn’t a small sample size. In a world with a lot of problems...the good news is that the Charlie Kirk Effect continues.

Takeaway #3: A Turning Point?

No, I’m not talking about that Turning Point today, but rather what may have been the turning point in Florida’s housing lull over the past month. It appears that perhaps in advance of the Fed’s cutting of interest rates, combined with an ample supply of options (with inventory having reached pre-pandemic levels), buyers into Florida’s housing market stepped up over the last month. According to the Florida Realtors Association, we’ve just recently seen the second biggest surge in buying activity that we’ve seen in four years – during the peak of the post-pandemic boom. Pending home sales were up 9.9% over the prior year last month with even condos and townhomes, the hardest-to-sell properties for over three years, seeing a 4.9% increase over the prior year. Most recently property sales had been lower by 3.9% with condos and townhome sales having fallen by 6%. Pending sales don’t equal closed sales, and one month doesn’t make a trend, however what we’ve seen is a sudden surge in interest preceding a major catalyst in lower interest rates. With one rate cut in the books and more forecasted by the Fed on the way, along with season – there’s the first indication that the lull in Florida’s housing market, that’s been most pronounced in South Florida may soon be over.
