Takeaway #1: They think you’re stupid
Welcome to day three of the partial government shutdown. Also known as the third day that you’ve not been impacted by the federal government partially being shut down. What’s also not new is politicians treating you as though you’re stupid. In the grand scheme of political stupidity that you’re expected to accept however, the current arguments by Democrats and their allies in the news media are way the heck up there. As Republicans, starting with the president, continue to make the case that they’re not going to cave to Democrat demands to fund healthcare for illegal immigrants...it’s been said countless times by Democrats and outlets like the AP – that illegal immigrants can’t access healthcare legally. Here is an example from an AP fact check: CLAIM: Democrats shut down the government because they want to give free health care to immigrants who entered the U.S. illegally. THE FACTS: This is false. Democrats say they are pushing for the inclusion of key health care provisions in the next congressional spending package. However, immigrants in the U.S. illegally are not eligible for any federal health care programs, including insurance provided through the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid. This is how stupid they think you are. This just in... Illegal immigrants aren’t legal in this country, or should I say eligible to be in this country, but here they are! This is how stupid the Left, which includes almost the entire media apparatus, thinks you are. Guess what else illegal immigrants aren’t legally eligible for? Any federal government programs and benefits. Yet, guess how many are on them? As I’ve illustrated for years based on government and Center for Immigration Studies data... 63%. And what are the three most commonly abused government programs by illegal immigrants? SNAP, housing and Medicaid. In fact, you may recall the reporting earlier this year that illegal immigrants accessing healthcare within our state ended up costing us $660 million alone last year. But one thing Florida doesn’t do is open Medicaid up to illegal immigrants. But guess how many states do? 14 plus the District of Columbia. And guess how many illegal immigrants are on Medicaid through these illegally administered state sanctioned programs right now? At least 1.4 million. And that’s independent of over 1 million non-citizens on subsidized Obamacare plans. If the Democrats were to have their way we’d spend an estimated $192.8 billion on healthcare for illegal immigrants over the next ten years. But remember the important talking point... immigrants in the U.S. illegally are not eligible for any of this. Just like they’re not legally elidable to be in this country in any capacity...but please ignore that hugely important point and pretend that you’re dumb enough to think that this effort at misdirection makes sense.
Takeaway #2: What Biden Brought to Florida
Martha’s Migrants happened. Biden’s Beach delivery never did (though there’s still time) but as Governor DeSantis warned numerous times, the Biden administration was so underhanded with their illegal immigration operations, they’d often fly or drive illegal immigrants into our state in the middle of the night. But now we know based on newly produced information from Customs and Border Patrol how pervasive the Biden illegal immigration operation really was. Based on government records a total of 1.1 million illegal immigrants were shipped into our state after being processed by the Biden administration – the highest population adjusted rate of any state in the country. Effectively during the four years of the Biden administration they sent illegal immigrants equal to 5% of the total population of Florida into our state with South Florida, the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach metro being the most heavily impacted region in the country. That’s independent of the illegal immigrants who were already in our state and those who evaded Border Patrol and made their way into our state. But what Biden brought to Florida...
Takeaway #3: Trump has been rapidly deporting from Florida
Mostly through the strength of his policies. If you’ve seen what appear to be fewer illegal immigrants in many communities, it’s not your imagination. As I covered on Monday, Illegal Aliens have been fleeing Florida to the tune of about 200 per day since the onset of the Trump administration. Still, that’s only about 51,000 fewer illegal immigrants to date, and if that pace were kept up for President Trump’s four years, we’d still only deport 292,000 of the 1.1 million illegal immigrants that Biden brought in. This illustrates the challenges that come with attempting to undo what’s already been done. It’s what the radical left not just in this country but around the world knows. It’s easy to open borders and allow illegals to flood in. It’s much harder to remove them. It’s why it’s imperative that the Left not win future elections. And back to where we started it’s why every government program should be defunded for every illegal immigrant. We not only can’t afford to continue to facilitate it, but the best way to undo what’s been done is for illegal immigrants to lose what they’ve been taking advantage of and self-deport – which as we’ve seen has been happening at a pace of about 4-1. Ending healthcare benefits for illegal immigrants could speed up that pace.
