- Discover the Palm Beaches is holding its second job fair event as part of a three-day, three-stop tour across the county. Following Tuesday’s event at the South Florida Fairgrounds, local employers will be looking to hire applicants at an event at the Palm Beach County Convention Center from 9 AM to 1 PM, with Thursday’s event at the Rivera Beach Marina Event Center also from 9-1. Free professional headshots are included for attendees in addition to free parking.
- The Boca Raton City Council voted to extend an interim agreement with developers of the proposed government campus project. The Terra Frisbie Group, leading the development project plans, unveiled a smaller seven-acre development plan down from the original 31-acre plan originally proposed. There will be a March ballot referendum for voters to consider. Tuesday’s vote extends discussions with the developers until May of next year, following the results of the ballot referendum.
- Treasure Coast Baptist Church in Fort Pierce unveiled a monument to the late Charlie Kirk on Tuesday, the federally recognized Charlie Kirk Day, completed with a 31-foot flagpole representing Charlie’s 31 years of life. Charlie’s image is on a six-foot tall boulder holding a bible and the American flag in the display.

A plume of Saharan dust is tracking over the Leeward Islands and Hispaniola extending from the Caribbean Sea through the central Atlantic with another plume off the coast of Africa acting as a headwind for tropical development. - The National Hurricane Center is tracking one system in the southern Atlantic. Tropical Storm Lorenzo is expected to track towards the central Atlantic and is not of concern.
- Gas prices rose by two cents per gallon on Tuesday. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $2.98 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.14 per gallon, in Martin the average is $3.02, it’s $3.00 in St. Lucie, and in Indian River County the average is $2.99 per gallon.
