Middle East Peace, Sanctuary Polices & Pot Politics - Top 3 Takeaways

Middle East Peace & Sanctuary Polices  Top 3 Takeaways January 27th, 2026

Takeaway #1: A peace plan coming together

On Monday a major milestone was reached in the effort to maintain peace between Israel and Hamas, create stability in the region and to potentially Make Gaza Great Again (or something like that). The news was that the remains of the final Israeli hostage had been returned to Israel and confirmed by the Israeli Defense Forces. The development was more than just an opportunity for closure for the victim’s families. It marked the official completion of the first phase of the 20-point Israel-Hamas peace plan brokered by President Trump and his team last fall. It also came only 11 days after a transitional government, which was called for in the plan was established. The new government known as the Gaza International transitional Authority, is a 15-member “National Committee” established under a plan created by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s consulting firm. So, what happens now? If all continues to go according to plan the transitional government will have Gazans on the ground acting on behalf of the transitional government for the next three years while Gaza’s reconstruction takes place, complete with a Trump International Gaza resort (kidding...mostly). Upon reconstruction, if all continues according to plan over the next few years, Palestinian statehood would be recognized by the United States and thus likely by the U.N. For the first phase of the three-phase peace plan to have been successfully completed not only defies the expectations that many around the world had heading into the agreement. It shows that President Trump was able to do something that many of us thought wasn’t possible to do... Successfully negotiate peace with terrorists. Which, when you think about the political landscape in this country, becomes that much more remarkable as Democrats are yet again threatening another partial government shutdown. This as Senate Democrats backed out of bipartisan agreement to fully fund the federal government through the fiscal year following Saturday’s ICE-involved killing of armed demonstrator Alex Pretti. What exactly does it say when Hamas terrorists are easier to negotiate with and more likely to stick to a previously agreed to plan than Congressional Democrats?

Takeaway #2: Speaking of unlikely alliances...

Midday Monday came this unexpected development Truthed by President TrumpGovernor Tim Walz called me with the request to work together with respect to Minnesota. It was a very good call, and we, actually, seemed to be on a similar wavelength. I told Governor Walz that I would have Tom Homan call him, and that what we are looking for are any and all Criminals that they have in their possession. The Governor, very respectfully, understood that, and I will be speaking to him in the near future. He was happy that Tom Homan was going to Minnesota, and so am I! We have had such tremendous SUCCESS in Washington, D.C., Memphis, Tennessee, and New Orleans, Louisiana, and virtually every other place that we have “touched” and, even in Minnesota, Crime is way down, but both Governor Walz and I want to make it better! How many people saw that one coming? So yes, apparently Border Czar Tom Homan’s deployment to oversee ICE’s operations within Minnesota, was viewed positively by the governor previously best known for putting Tampons in boys' bathrooms in schools and appearing to resemble Elmer Fudd while running for vice president. A cynical person might point to Walz’s sudden willingness to engage and potentially work with the Trump administration on combating illegal immigration as a means of attempting to mitigate potential liability in the Somali daycare fraud he’s under federal investigation for in his state, and that led to his decision not to run for reelection. The best possible outcome in Minnesota, and for that matter in every state, is...

Takeaway #3: Cooperation with ICE...

So that criminal illegal immigrants have completed their time behind bars, they’re released into ICE custody through issued detainers as opposed to being released back into society for ICE to have to go and retrieve. 100% of everything that’s happened in Minnesota can be traced back to their decision to violate federal law in carrying out sanctuary policies. Over the past year, the state of Minnesota has ignored 1,360 detainer requests to criminal illegal immigrants choosing to release illegals guilty of crimes like homicide and rape back into society as opposed to ICE custody. A change in that policy would not only be the lawful thing to do but also a welcomed thing by everyone who isn’t a Marxist anarchist in society. It’s also worth remembering that whether it’s Laken Riley in Georgia or the three Floridians killed by illegal immigrant driver Harjinder Singh, the sanctuary policies of other states have deadly impacts in other states including Florida.
