  • Four Florida metros, including in South Florida, are currently among the most buyer friendly in the country, according to a new Zillow report. The study took into account current home value growth, the median income needed to purchase a typical home and forecasted future appreciation. Orlando ranked 13th nationally, Tampa was 9th, the Miami metro ranked 8th with Jacksonville #4. Indianapolis ranked 1st nationally. 
  • Flight delays and cancellations continued throughout the state Tuesday though conditions continued to improve with 35 total cancellations at Palm Beach International Airport. Air traffic is improving across the country, however, problems persist in many locations, and you’re advised to check flight status prior to heading to the airport. Related... 
  • Palm Beach International Airport could be renamed Donald J. Trump International Airport. A proposal first introduced by Palm Beach Gardens State Representative Meg Weinberger would place the naming of major commercial service airports under state authority. As part of that proposal, PBI would be renamed for President Trump. The proposal’s Senate companion was unanimously advanced the Senate Transportation Committee on Tuesday. 
  • After starting the day in the 40’s. High’s will only reach the low to mid 60's in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast. Below average temperatures are expected to stay with us for at least the next week with the coldest temperatures since January of 2010 possible this weekend. Cold weather shelters have opened in Indian River and St. Lucie Counties. 
  • Gas prices rose two cents per gallon on Tuesday. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $2.85 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.03 per gallon, in Martin the average is $2.91, it’s $2.89 in St. Lucie, and in Indian River County the average is $2.88 per gallon.
