Election Integrity Is a Growing Need w/Growing Popularity – Top 3 Takeaways – July 21st, 2026
Takeaway #1: It’s more like 87-13 than 80-20
Predictably the GSS News media looked right past the Trump administration's recent release of declassified materials pertaining to election integrity, and identity theft-related concerns. But with some time to review here’s what we’ve learned that’s been buried by those who’re tasked with reporting news (but that seldom do unless it fits a preferred narrative). Clear as day for anyone to see are these things: China conducted the largest known compromise of U.S. election-related data ever, obtaining approximately 220 million American voter files containing names, addresses, phone numbers, party affiliations, etc. starting with the 2020 election cycle. This spanned data from at least 18 states obtained through a combination of data purchases, theft, and hacking. How big of a deal is it that 220 million Americans have had voter data compromised by the Chinese? There are currently only about 205 million registered American voters! What this means is that over the course of several years the Chinese successfully extracted effectively every registered voter’s information along with 15 to 20 million people who no longer are eligible to vote (many deceased). And in order to achieve that Chinese objective U.S. intelligence agencies showed China created a dedicated exploitation unit. What’s worse...as the president revealed in his address – the information was known for years by the intel community but never disclosed publicly – or evidently to President Trump himself. One wonders if Joe Biden and/or the autopens knew about these things? So, about the ability for foreign governments to potentially hack into and alter election data? Here’s a quote from the findings of the One National Intelligence Council report from January of 2020...Russia, China, Iran and North Korea have the capability to access and potentially manipulate U.S. election data. As I pointed out last Friday...the initial GSS news reports were often that Trump claimed this, or Trump claimed that...but in reality...it wasn’t Trump’s claims that were the thing. Everything he was talking about in the speech was straight out of intelligence reporting. The “saving grace” if you will – is that the intel community said that it would be nearly impossible for widespread successful manipulation because of elections being conducted locally and decentralized generally. But would you say that our biggest adversaries having the ability to potentially hack into our voting systems starting six years ago might be an important thing for the people running elections across the country, let alone for voters to know? Btw, this illustrates why it’s critical to have paper ballot backups for all elections as Florida does. Then there’s the matter of between 250,000-278,000 non-citizens registered to vote in federal elections within just four states – California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Nevada. What was the margin of victory for Joe Biden in 2020 in PA? 80,555 votes. How about Nevada? 33,596. What’s more is let’s say that the same level of non-citizens are registered to vote in the other 46 states...How many warm and fluffy illegal aliens would be on federal voter rolls? 3.1-3.5 million! How big of a number is that...if potentially illegal immigrant registered voters were a state...they’d be the 31st most populous state! That’s right, based on the findings of a federal investigation of just four states...
Takeaway #2: The potential illegal immigrant population that registered to vote is larger than 19 states!
But there’s still nothing to see here, right? There’s still no need to change anything. For GSS News there’s no reason to even bother reporting anything! Now, it’s important to note that none of the even hidden-from-the-public information disclosed indicates that any elections would have turned out any differently. That’s the one bit of good news that came out of this. However, what it shows are the many vulnerabilities for potential issues in future elections if the status quo is maintained. Which based upon the level of coverage and this news flow seems to be the GSS News’ preferred thing. As I mentioned last Friday...the United States ranks last in the developed world in election integrity with a failing overall grade of a 54! And yet that’s also not news that’s widely reported to you. I’ve long said the most pervasive form of bias in news media is the omission of information. This is but the latest indication that remains the case. And what’s also the case is that election integrity remains an issue and on that note it’s often been said that voter ID and proof of citizenship are 80-20 issues...as in polls often suggesting that about 80% of the country can actually agree on something and it happens to be those two these... in fact the only meaningful opposition to mandatory voter ID and proof of citizenship are elected Democrats. But actually, what we’ve continued to see with the conversation about potential election vulnerabilities advancing is that it’s ever closer to a 90-10 type of issue. On that note just yesterday the latest Sinclair poll was this...VOTE: Should states tighten voting laws to prevent non-citizen and non-resident voting? . The answer was that it was...
Takeaway #3: An 87-13 issue
Senator Rick Scott is now of the view that we should break out each piece of the SAVE Act and work to get it passed. This means breaking out voter ID and make Democrats have to publicly oppose just that. It means breaking out proof of citizenship and making them oppose just that. It’s an unfortunate thing that elected Democrats won’t do the thing – according to not only almost all Americans – but with approximately two-thirds of their own Democrat voting constituents. The vulnerabilities are evidenced, and they are real. The pressure campaign by the GOP on elected Democrats on this issue needs to be just as real and unrelenting. It’s crystal clear that states like California and New York won’t do the right thing to improve election integrity...minimum federal standards must be done. And with the most likely outcome this November being a Democrat win that flips the House of Representatives again...it needs to get done ASAP. Trump is right about this. Lindsey Graham’s sister needs to take the lead on this. A get it done for Lindsey campaign stands a better chance to succeed.
